"Light for lust, not love," is what I told the ToMo photo team. Know your audience.
In my role as Creative Director at Touch of Modern, I managed the Photography Team.
Much of the products are shot in house, and the "ToMo look" is so distinctive that I set in motion the process of patenting the lighting technique.
This photo team had been literally and figuratively disconnected from the rest of the company. I oversaw the move of the studio from a separate location to one within the office of HQ.
I made sure they got kudos at company meetings, and even gave them an internal brand of their own; Ten Foot Productions.
(A reference to the height of the office ceilings)
I didn't invent the ToMo look, but I made artistic and process changes to protect its survival.
